Frequently Asked Questions

Are CEO programs free for students?
Yes. All CEO programs — including Economic Navigation, Employer Fellowships, and Sector Accelerators — are completely free to student participants. Our operating costs are covered by employer partners, funders, and donors.
What grades or ages are eligible?
Our primary focus is high school students (9th–12th grade) and recent graduates. Some sector accelerator tracks accept students up to age 22. First-generation college students and young professionals new to the workforce are also welcome to inquire.
Do I need a certain GPA to apply?
No minimum GPA is required. We select students based on drive, clarity of purpose, and economic need — not academic metrics alone. We believe potential is a far stronger indicator of success than past performance in under-resourced environments.
How can my company become an employer partner?
Reach out via the contact form or email us directly at hello@cohortforeo.org. Employer partnerships range from hosting fellows for a semester to sponsoring a full sector accelerator cohort. We'll match your capacity and goals with the right partnership tier.
Is CEO a registered 501(c)(3)?
Yes. The Cohort for Economic Opportunity is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. We are happy to provide documentation upon request.
When does the next cohort begin?
The Spring 2025 Employer Fellowship cohort is currently accepting applications on a rolling basis. Economic Navigation runs in multiple short cycles throughout the year. Sector Accelerators launch in Summer 2025. Check the Programs page for current application status.
